July 2026 was another landmark month for CLFMA OF INDIA, marked by a series of high-level engagements that reinforced the Association's unwavering commitment to policy advocacy, industry collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development across the livestock, poultry, aquaculture, and animal feed sectors.
Through meaningful interactions with the Government of India, industry associations, academia, researchers, and international organizations, CLFMA continued to strengthen its role as the trusted voice of India's animal agriculture sector. From addressing feed security and sustainability challenges to promoting scientific livestock nutrition, knowledge exchange, and disease preparedness, the Association remained at the forefront of initiatives that support a resilient, competitive, and globally progressive livestock industry.

CLFMA OF INDIA Meeting with Shri. Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, GOI on 10th July, 2026:
Mr. Divya Kumar Gulati, Chairman, CLFMA OF INDIA, and Mr. Suresh Deora, Immediate Past Chairman, met Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, on 10 July 2026 to discuss key issues concerning India's livestock sector and the future growth of the industry. During the meeting, the CLFMA delegation also extended a formal invitation to the Hon'ble Minister to grace the Inaugural Session of the 59th Annual General Meeting and the 67th National Symposium, scheduled to be held on 11 September 2026 in Mumbai. Following the meeting, CLFMA conveyed its sincere appreciation through a formal thank-you letter and requested confirmation of the Hon'ble Minister's gracious presence at the inaugural session of the 67th National Symposium, to be held on 11–12 September 2026 at The Leela Mumbai, Sahar, Near International Airport, Andheri East, Mumbai.

CLFMA–PDFA Dairy Seminar Brings Together Dairy Farmers and Feed Industry Leaders at Ludhiana on 11th July, 2026:
The Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association (CLFMA) of India, in collaboration with the Progressive Dairy Farmers Association (PDFA), successfully organized a Dairy Farmers Meet in Ludhiana, creating an important platform for dairy farmers, academicians, veterinarians, livestock nutritionists, researchers, and industry leaders to exchange knowledge on modern dairy farming, scientific nutrition, and sustainable livestock production.
Morning Technical Session – GADVASU: The morning session, hosted at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), focused on empowering dairy farmers with practical, science-based solutions to improve herd health, productivity, and farm profitability.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by PDFA, followed by the inaugural address by Mr.Divya Kumar Gulati, Chairman, CLFMA OF INDIA, who highlighted the importance of scientific feeding practices, continuous farmer education, and stronger industry–academia partnerships for the long-term growth of India's dairy sector.
The technical programme featured several distinguished experts:

Dr. Harish Dharne, Berg & Schmidt India Pvt. Ltd., delivered an insightful presentation on transition cow management, emphasizing the vital role of choline in improving metabolic health, reducing transition disorders, and enhancing milk production.

Dr. Mukesh shared practical recommendations on dry cow management and strategies for preparing animals for the next lactation cycle through balanced nutrition, preventive healthcare, and timely interventions.

Dr. Hujaz Tariq, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, presented the latest scientific approaches in dairy management and advancements in livestock production technologies.
The morning programme concluded with addresses by Mr. Divya Kumar Gulati, Chairman, CLFMA OF INDIA, and Mr. Daljeet Singh, President, PDFA, reaffirming the importance of collaboration among farmers, researchers, academia, and industry for enhancing productivity, animal welfare, and long-term sustainability.
Evening Industry Session – Radisson Blu Hotel, Ludhiana: The evening session shifted the focus to feed manufacturing, ingredient innovation, and market intelligence, bringing together feed manufacturers, nutrition experts, and industry executives. The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. Munish Sharma, General Manager, PDS, followed by a presentation from Mr. Chris Markey, Regional Director – Southeast Asia & Oceania, U.S. Grains Council, on "DDGS as an Alternative Feed Ingredient." The session highlighted the growing importance of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) as a sustainable and cost-effective feed ingredient.
Mr. S. V. Bhave, Managing Director, Berg & Schmidt India Pvt. Ltd., presented an overview of the current market scenario for oils and oilcakes, discussing raw material availability, price trends, and sourcing challenges affecting the feed industry. A major attraction of the programme was the panel discussion on "Present Challenges in the Feed Industry," moderated by Mr. S. V. Bhave.

The panel deliberated on key issues including raw material availability, feed affordability, quality standards, adoption of scientific nutrition, emerging technologies, and the importance of stronger collaboration across the livestock value chain.
Mr. Daljeet Singh, President, PDFA, observed: "For dairy farmers, access to practical knowledge is just as important as access to quality inputs. Today's discussions reinforced that better transition cow management, balanced nutrition, and timely adoption of scientific practices can significantly improve milk yield, animal health, and farm profitability. Such collaborative initiatives strengthen the connection between research, industry, and the farming community, making our dairy sector more resilient and future-ready."

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Divya Kumar Gulati, Chairman, CLFMA OF INDIA, remarked: "India's dairy sector has immense potential to become even more productive and globally competitive, provided scientific feeding practices and modern livestock management become integral to every dairy farm. Knowledge-sharing initiatives such as these play a vital role in bridging the gap between research and field implementation. At CLFMA OF INDIA, we remain committed to supporting farmers through science-based nutrition, industry collaboration, and continuous capacity building that ultimately improves animal health, farm profitability, and national food security."
The Seminar concluded with an interactive networking session, providing valuable opportunities for participants to build partnerships and exchange ideas. Approximately 250 delegates participated in the CLFMA Dairy Seminar.

CLFMA Representation dated 13th July, 2026 on Emerging Soybean Meal (Soy DOC) Shortage and its impact on Poultry Sector:
Recognizing the growing concern over the availability of Soybean Meal (Soy DOC), a critical protein source for poultry feed, CLFMA submitted a representation to Shri Bhupender Yadav, Hon'ble Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. The Association highlighted the serious implications of the emerging shortage on India's poultry sector and enclosed a detailed assessment of the annual soybean meal requirement for the livestock sector, together with future demand projections, to support timely policy intervention.
