I wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2022!
Amidst Covid Pandemic, CLFMA is continuously taking relentless efforts for the upliftment of Livestock Sector.

Let me give you a glimpse of few of the CLFMA’s Important activities of the January month of the year 2022:

Representations by CLFMA:

Pursuant to the letter written to Shri.Pramod Kumar Tiwari IAS, Director General (DG), BIS HEADQUARTER, New Delhi on 29th October 2021, CLFMA again sent a gentle reminder to him on 1st December 2021 for further follow-up. CLFMA again wrote a letter on 6th January, 2022 to Shri. Rohit Kumar Singh, Secretary (Consumer Affairs), Dept. of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi-110001, with a request to help CLFMA OF INDIA to organize a Webinar in association with BIS to discuss all topics related to Cattle Feed Standards involving all the departments viz. FAD5, Registration, Quality, etc., for the benefit of our CLFMA Members. CLFMA is waiting for the response from GOI.

On 18th January 2022, on request from CLFMA Member, Sapience Agribusiness Consulting LLP, whose product import from USA was held for clearance at the Chennai port; CLFMA requested Dr. D. Biswas, Regional Officer (SR) to clear the said consignment by considering the government approved consolidated list of feed additives. CLFMA’s request is being considered and CLFMA Member Dr. Somu Kumar Ambat appreciated CLFMA’s efforts by sending his sincere appreciation email for CLFMA’s timely intervention and acknowledged that CLFMA’s letter helped them to get the goods cleared by the Animal Quarantine Officer on time.


CLFMA got an invitation to join VC meeting with Organizations/Associations on the topic “Price Policy for Kharif Crops 2022-23 marketing season” on 27.01.2022 at 11.00 am from Mr. Anupam Mitra Member Secretary Commission for Agricultural Costs & Prices, Department of Agriculture, Co-operation & Farmers Welfare Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi – 110001. CLFMA nominated Dr. Pradeep Mahajan to attend the same and we thank him for attending the Meeting.

Stakeholder Outreach:

On 21st January 2022, we received email from Mr. Vijay Thakre, DAHD, GOI with a request to CLFMA OF INDIA to furnish the report on Wheat Bran as the government had received its export proposal from the Exporters. On their request CLFMA sent the required report which he acknowledged well.

We are participating in India International Aquaculture Expo 2022 scheduled in the month of March at Chennai, India, CLFMA will have stall at the IIAE. CLFMA is also participating in the 7th Edition of Feed Tech Expo scheduled on 24-25-26 March’ 2022 at Kingston Event Centre, Kurukshetra and CLFMA will have stall at the Feed Tech Expo as well.

Amidst surge in Covid Pandemic (3rd wave), more details on our plan for Aqua, Dairy & Poultry Webinars, will be intimated to all members by CLFMA Secretariat from time to time in the upcoming months.

CLFMA is relentlessly working toward improving the working of our organizational effectiveness striving hard to sustainable and profitable animal agriculture. Additionally, I would like to solicit your valuable inputs and suggestions to improve further and achieve the newer heights.
