Krishi Bhawan visit of Executive Director Col. Vinay Kumar on 11th August, 2025:

The personal invitation was extended by the Executive Director Col. Vinay Kumar to Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, Minister of State Fisheries Animal Husbandry & Dairying, and Ministry of Panchayati Raj, GOI and other key Government Officials of Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying  for the 58th Annual General Meeting and 66th National Symposium, scheduled for 22nd & 23rd August 2025 at Hotel Taj Deccan, Road No. 1, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad – 500034 and he has confirmed his auspicious presence as “Chief Guest” for the same.

58th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 66th National Symposium on 22nd–23rd  August, 2025 at Taj Deccan, Hyderabad:

 

The Compound Livestock Feed Manufacturers Association (CLFMA of India), An Association of Livestock Sector successfully hosted its 58th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 66th National Symposium on 22nd – 23rd August, 2025 at Taj Deccan, Hyderabad, themed “Animal Agriculture in India – The Way Forward.” The two-day event drew nearly 450 dignitaries, including senior government officials, policymakers, industry leaders, feed manufacturers, farmers, veterinarians, academicians, scientists, and representatives from national and international organisations.

 

The even commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Vijay D.  Bhandare, Convenor and MC Member of CLFMA. This was followed by the Chairman Address from Mr. Divya Kumar Gulati, Chairman of CLFMA. Discussions focused on strengthening rural livelihoods, food security, and India’s role in global agri-trade, with a strong emphasis on boosting exports and fostering resilience across poultry, dairy, aquaculture, and allied sectors.

 

The Symposium featured thematic and panel sessions covering poultry growth trends, aquaculture opportunities, raw material challenges, and animal health solutions, while also highlighting government support through schemes such as FIDF and PM-MKSSY. Eminent dignitaries, including Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, Hon’ble Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, GOI and Sri Vakiti Srihari, Hon’ble Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries, Government of Telangana, Sri. Sabyasachi Ghosh, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana, Dr. Muthukumaraswamy B. Joint Secretary (NLM), Department of AH&D, GOI, Shri. Tarun Shridhar, IAS (Retd. Secretary AHD) underlined the importance of sustainable practices, skill development, and stronger industry–government partnerships. CLFMA also proposed the creation of Export Oriented Zones (EOZs) and a Livestock Export & Domestic Development Authority to improve ease of doing business and enhance global competitiveness.

 

A major highlight was the launch of CLFMA’s first-ever Student Program Initiative, which attracted 134 participants nationwide, presenting research across poultry, dairy, swine, and aquaculture. Gold, silver, and bronze winners in each category were felicitated alongside CLFMA Awards honouring industry leaders Dr. K. Karthikeyan and Prof. Jyoti Palod, including the Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Pravin S. Lunkad.

 

Distinguished speakers—Mr. R. S. Sodhi, President of the Indian Dairy Association (IDA); Dr. Girish Kolwankar, Director of Premium Chick Feeds Pvt. Ltd.; and Mr. Manoj M. Sharma, Director of Mayank Aqua Products - shared their insightful perspectives aimed at enhancing the global competitiveness of the Dairy, Poultry and Aqua.

 

The first panel discussion on “Feed, Raw Materials and Other Inputs – Balancing the Balance Sheet”, moderated by Dr. O. P. Chaudhary (Retd. JS NLM/PC), featured insights from industry leaders including Mr. R. Ramkutty (BCC), Dr. R. S. Masali (Godrej Agrovet Ltd.), Dr. P. S. Mahesh (CEAH-Bengaluru), Dr. N. C. Manju (Animal Nutritionist), Mr. Jaison John, Regional Head – Market Intelligence- South Asia, USSEC, and Dr. Gagan Garg, Dy. Commissioner of Trade, GOI followed by an interactive Q&A.

 

This was followed by a Special Session on the Right to Protein initiative by the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC), delivered by Mr. Jaison John, Regional Head – Market Intelligence- South Asia, USSEC highlighting the importance of adequate protein consumption for nutrition and well-being.

 

The high-level dialogue on “Outlook of Animal Agriculture for Viksit Bharat”, moderated by Shri. Tarun Shridhar, IAS (Retd.), brought together leaders from poultry, dairy, aquaculture, shrimp, and equipment sectors, including Mr. Suresh Chitturi, Vice Chairman, All India Poultry Breeders Association, Mr. Divya Kumar Gulati, Chairman, CLFMA OF INDIA, Mr. Ranpal Dhanda, President, PFI, Mr. Daljit Singh, President, PDFA, Mr. Saji Chacko, President, SAP, Mr. Ravi Kumar Yellanki, President, All India Shrimp Hatchery Association, Mr. Madan Mohan Maity, General Secretary, WBPFA and Mr. Uday Singh Bayas, President, IPEMA, who shared perspectives on strengthening India’s global position.

 

The third session on “Animal Agriculture: Health Challenges & Potential Solutions”, moderated by Dr. P. K. Shukla, HOD, Mathura Veterinary College, addressed key issues in poultry and dairy health with contributions from Dr. M. R. Reddy (Association of Avian Health Professionals), Dr. A. S. Ranade, Retd. Prof. and Dean of Mumbai Veterinary College,  Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Dairy Consultant and Dr. Shirish Nigam, President, INFAH followed by a Q&A.

 

The two-day event concluded with a valedictory session, felicitation of sponsors and partners, and a networking dinner, marking a successful platform of knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and vision-setting for India’s animal agriculture sector.
